This web space is home to the Collaborative, Transformational Learning Circle and its participants. Tanis Dagert is the leader of this learning circle. She lives on Vancouver Island and is a community development practioner who believes in the power of knowledge to transform individuals who can then work together to transform society. Tanis defines transformational learning as a process of getting beyond gaining factual knowedge alone to, instead, become changed by what one learns in some meaningful way. It involves questioning assumptions, beliefs and values, and considering multiple points of view, while seeking to verify reasoning.
