According to David Miliband's blog, on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office webpage, in a holiday season greeting card to the diplomatic corps in Rangoon the Burmese Generals expressed their New Years' resolution in the following paranoid sentence:
"WE MUST CONSTANTLY BE STRIVING TO KEEP NATIONALIST FERVOUR EVER ALIVE AND DYNAMIC TO OPPOSE COLONIALISTS AND NEO-COLONIALISTS AND THEIR MINIONS AND LACKEYS".
