I posted a few months ago about the book, "
The Dumbest Generation: How the Digital Age Stupefies Young
Americans and Jeopardizes Our Future (Or, Don't Trust Anyone Under
30)" in which the author Mark Bauerlein levels a sharp
criticism on Generation Y / Millennials. I don't think I'm too off
the mark if I were to say he assesses people under 30 as being
oblivious and self-indulgent. I was reminded of the issue of
generational gaps today as I read
Pat
Buchanan's blog post on all the turbulance gripping the
American economy right now.
"What the Greatest Generation handed down to us — the
richest, most powerful, most self-sufficient republic in history,
with the highest standard of living any nation had ever achieved
— the baby boomers, oblivious and self-indulgent to the end,
have frittered away."
