Public policy across borders - Can global collaboration influence public policy?

Getting started

Register

  • The scholarship program is only open to students from participating PolicyNet schools who are registered members of PolicyNet.
  • Register for the PolicyNet Scholarship Program by clicking the Join Now button in the left-hand navigation area. This button only appears if you are not a member or if you are not signed in.
  • Your registration will be approved by the community administrator and you'll be notified of your status by email within 24 hours.
  • Complete your personal profile on IGLOO so that potential partners may learn about you and your policy interests.

Work on Your Own Or Find a Partner

  • You may submit a paper that you have written on your own, or you may work with a partner from your school or another PolicyNet school.
  • If you wish to work with a partner, navigate to the "Find a Partner" forum and review the existing posts to see if there is anyone you might be interested in working with.
  • Post a topic with a descriptive name. It would be helpful to include your school and your research interest.
  • Monitor the forum reguarly to read any responses and find new threads.

Create a Research Community

  • One way you can use the power of PolicyNet to help in your project is to create a research community within the PolicyNet network. Use your community to store documents, files, and links to research resources. If you are working with a partner, you can share your documents, have online discussions, and manage your work schedule.
  • On the Communities page, click the "Create a Community" link on the left. The Community Wizard will walk you through the creation of a community.
    NOTE:
Only one person in the team should create a community.
  • Set up the community.
    • Invite your partner to join the community
    • Set up the community forums so that you can discuss various aspects of the community.
    • Add documents to your community library that are relevant to your paper.
  • The main IGLOO help files are the best place to look if you have questions about anything not explained here.
