IGLOO Library becomes a Selective Depository for Government of Canada Documents

The Centre for International Governance Innovation’s IGLOO Library has been approved by the Government of Canada Depository Services Program (DSP) to become a Selective Depository Library for Canadian government documents.

The IGLOO Library is a completely electronic open access global governance library with resources for educators, practitioners, researchers, and students. It is freely available to anyone with an Internet connection. The IGLOO Library is located at www.igloo.org/library.

The Depository Services Program (DSP) is responsible for ensuring that the information needs of Canadians are met by supplying Canadian government publications to a network of more than 1,000 libraries in Canada and around the world. Administered by Public Works and Government Services Canada, the DSP ensures that publications provided by federal departments and agencies are distributed to depository libraries in a timely manner.

As a Selective Depository Library, the IGLOO Library will obtain up-to-date information on Government of Canada publications, access to over 23,000 downloadable electronic publications, and electronic guides to government information.

Becoming a Selective Depository Library will allow the IGLOO Library to develop a strong, highly searchable collection of Government of Canada electronic publications on global governance to support the work of IGLOO Network members and communities and the general public.
