Off the Shelf

This week, the Centre for International Governance Innovation is hosting its 3rd annual conference: CIGI 07.  This year's conference is entitled "A Moment of Truth: Towards Sustainable Energy Futures?"
CIGI'07 will explore issues related to energy and the role of international governance institutions in addressing environmental sustainability. This year's event is held in partnership with CIGI, the University of Waterloo and the Royal Society of Canada (the country's leading assembly of academic researchers), marking the 5th, 50th, and 125th anniversaries respectively of these institutions.
Keynote speakers at this year's events include: Mr. Ángel Gurría (Secretary-General, Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development), Mr. Joseph Cirincione (Vice President for National Security, Center for American Progress) and Mr. Henri Philippe Reichstul (Director and Chief Executive Officer, Brenco).
