Role of the IBG 

Does the IBG really play a substantive role at CIGI? A once yearly meeting hardly qualifies...
I have been giving quite a bit of thought recently to the role we play as members of CIGI's International Board of Governors. Although I participate in several CIGI projects and meetings during the year, I have the feeling that our role in the IBG is undefined, in spite of the mandate that Tamara circulated in November of last year.

The International Advisory Board of Governors (IBG) is a group comprised of present and former leaders in government, in the business community and in non-governmental organizations, as well as eminent academics and policy-makers with extensive international experience.
