Human Rights (JHR) has been working to build the capacity of the
Ghanaian media to report more effectively on locally relevant human
rights issues. A look at media organizations and outlets in the
Northern Ghana offers a descriptive example of how the media can be
used to effectively inform the local population about their rights.
At the same time, media development activities provide sustainable
skills for journalists and, overall, help promote good governance.
