David Hanna

Biography

Living in middle earth - I am a fourth generation Pakeha (white New Zealander). I have many roles that i value and all collectively contribute to my vision. I am: a partner in a civil union to Bronwen Olds, a father of 4 children, a Director of Wesley Community Action, a Chairperson of the local school, President of the New Zealand Aotearoa of Adolescent Health and Development, a cub leader (called Balu), Chair of the Inspiring Communities Network and part-time sports coach. I have worked as a national youth director for the Methodist Church, policy manager in Central Government, consultant on youth development, trainer in policy analysis and now a director of a Methodist Social Services Organization (Wesley Community Action). Key themes across his activities are around bicultural / Treaty of Waitangi awareness, positive child and youth development and grounding our work in an authentic spirituality.
