Welcome to summer everyone!

We've just posted the schedule for Practical Visionaries, our tele-learning seminar series for the rest of 2008.  And we are really excited to announce who will be joining us on the phone in the coming months! 

The Practical Visionaries series features thought leaders  who not only envision a better future for communities, but also create the means to help us to get there.

Here's the schedule:

• July 15 - Transforming Community: The Centraide/United Way Experience with Lyse Brunet, Centraide/United Way of Greater Montreal & Ira Barbell, Senior Associate, The Annie E. Casey Foundation
• August 7 - Engaging the Business Sector in Social Change Efforts with John Weiser & Garry Loewen
• October 28 - Al Etmanski & Vickie Cammack on the Six Elements of Successful Innovation
• November 11 - Artful Leadership with Michael Jones
• November 20 - The Story of Somewhere with Ric Young

• In the next few weeks we hope to be able to share the date for a September session with a very special speaker ... so stay tuned for that one.

   

  Vibrant Communities will also have a series of tele-learning seminars in the Fall that aim to frame a new discussion on poverty and poverty reduction.  We'll post them as soon as we secure the dates.
