We've just posted the schedule for Practical Visionaries, our tele-learning seminar series for the rest of 2008. And we are really excited to announce who will be joining us on the phone in the coming months!
The Practical Visionaries series features thought leaders who not only envision a better future for communities, but also create the means to help us to get there.

Summary:In 2006, we were honoured to feature Marc Kielburger of Free The Children on one of our tele-learning seminars. We're even more thrilled to learn that Marc and his brother, Craig, continue to trailbaze ahead as ambassadors of youth.
As the largest network of children helping children through education in the world, Free The Children believes that young people have the ability to bring about positive social change, and encourages youth to act now to improve the lives of young people everywhere.

Summary:In this week's Village Vibes (Charity Village), the spotlight is on Danielle Aubry and strategic alliances among non-profits. Danielle joined us at the 2007 Communities Collaborating Institute.
Danielle Aubry founded Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse in 1994 and has served as it executive director since that time. She joined our learning community in 2007 as part of the Communities Collaborating Institute, and has shared her valuable knowledge and insight with us on the blogs and as part of learning circles.

Prosperity Enhancement and Poverty Reduction - Conversations in different corners of our communities
I recently had the pleasure of hosting a learning circle on the topic of Prosperity Enhancement and Poverty Reduction. The learning circle was joined by enthusiasts from communities across Canada and we reflected on a number of issues during the course of the calls.
