The Canadian International Council (CIC) is a nation-wide, non-partisan, privately-funded Canadian institution established to advance research and dialogue on international issues.
The CIC Vancouver Branch Student Scholarship Program gives the opportunity for students to have exposure to prominent leaders and experts in Canadian international affairs. Successful applicants will gain a deeper insight into complex global issues, Canadian foreign policy making processes, and Canada's global positioning efforts.
The CIC scholarship recipient will receive:
- A free one year student membership to the CIC
- $200 monetary award
- Publication of work produced through this scholarship on the CIC website
Eligibility criteria:
- A keen interest in international affairs
- Enrolment in at least second year or higher at an accredited University in the Vancouver area
Scholarship requirements:
- Help promote CIC events to students in the Vancouver area
- Prepare a position paper assessing the feasibility of implementing recommendations made in the application process. Position papers will be featured on the CIC webpage under our research and policy analysis resources.
Application:
- Write an 800 (max.) answer to the question, "How can the CIC make a difference in Canada and renew citizens' interest in world affairs?"
