Bill Beatty

Biography

British Columbia born and raised, Bill was educated at the Universities of Victoria and Chicago. Involved in community development activities for the past 25 years, he is now the CEO of a social enterprise called the Sustainable Employment Network Inc. (SENI). He is employed by one of the SENI partners, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Just another acronym, this one stands for the United Chinese Community Enrichment Services Society, with an S stuck on the front for appearances. S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is one of Canada's largest non profit multicultural organizations. A Program Director in the Business and Economic Development Division, he works with entrepreneurial programming and programs targeting marginalized groups.Bill is also an adjunct faculty member in the Masters in Leadership program at Trinity Western University (TWU) in the Fraser Valley.He lives in Abbotsford, just up the valley from TWU. At present his two children live in Abbotsford (high school teacher in Maple Ridge) and Seoul, Korea.Bill enjoys long distance running with his daughter, mountaineering with an assortment of very unusual people, and life.
